no game is like MTW or ST.W they all fall far behind. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I don't play many computer games, hard to find the time juggling between papers, friends and my girlfriend, but some of my recurring favorites include the Fifa soccer and Caesar series.

There are none better in their type than STW and MTW. Diablo is a good game, although the server stinks. Dungeon Seige was good also. Slightly better server there and less cheating at that time than Diablo. For flight sims I still love Falcon 4.0....if you like modern naval sims them Harpoon will be out later this year. Try checking out PC Gamer or some such and downloading some demos....

I might suggest Ghost Recon as a break from MTW (I realized that I put the disc in my CD ROM drive almost a year ago and never took it out yet) I suggest Ghost Recon. It has at least 100 people on the GameSpy or UbiSoft server. If you have Both games installed, the GameSpy server will let you see how many people are playing both games at the same time and see which game room you actually want to join at the moment....

Well i never played but it seems battle 1942 have a good online rating. For the fans of the genre i think.

I think also MTW is the best game i ever play,but if you like some game with much more numbers of MP players you can choose Unreal II and yes also Ghost Recoon saga.

Sorry everybody here first for what I'm going to say
I tried Age of Mythology. It's another type of game, MTW is far better, but I must say that the multiplayer server really rocks

Civ3 PTW server, instead, is terrible. Sorry for Civ3 (a marvellous game in my opinion) but their Play the World expansion is a waste of money
