Actually, I heard this story about a Swedish military police officer in Kosovo. It was kind of a sport to light up choppers with laser rangefinders. They would start popping flares and sometimes do evasive manuvering. The Swede was doing traffic control with a laser to catch speeders. He lased an apache as it flew by and apparently the pilot had had enough of that kind of fun and turned on the cop and pulled up right in front of the offender.
