Hello guys, here are a few thoughts on possible Templar mods that would make the game more historically accurate. Ideally, I would like to see these incorporated in one of the existing mod patches.

1. Addition of Templar Promentory building, enabling creation of units. Its break up value should be set high in order to reflect the tremendous wealth they ammased.
2. Templar foot soldiers, the secondary - less known component of the terrific fighting force.
3. Addition of an event reflecting their persecution on early 14th century and declaration of their heressy. Could this be done by making them a separate faction in war with the pope?

Finally, just a word on my desire to be able to modify and design leaders/generals with traits theat suit me better. Has anybody tried this already?

Eager to receive your thoughts.

I don't know anything about the Templar foot soldiers. Was there anything unique about them?

i want to see someone make a mod where once you have a chapter house in a crusader provience, you can build your factions set crusader units, that would be awesome

I have seen a MOD someplace that allows you to build crusading units, don't remember the name or the place though (but it had to be here).

The problem with making crusaders buildable is that they are buildable everywhere. In order to make them only crusader province buildable, the end result is that crusades launched from elsewhere now just contain peasants. Just can't have the best of all worlds. One way of doing it may be to give all crusading factions templars as default, and make certain provinces able to specifically build the other types regardless of faction.
