I'm sure everyone has seen inquisitors creating havoc in provinces (you get the scroll saying they are burning people up). My question is: In what way this affects the province? Does it lose income? If it does, how much?

I do know about the affect on the zeal of the province, but i wanted to know more about the real cost of increasing the zeal on your own provinces, since its nice for cruzades, but i keep getting those scrolls of fried some today, and im getting concerned http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Now that you mentioned it I've always assumed that burning people lowers the province income but I was never sure how much and, come to think of it, I'm not even sure if the province does lose money. I've never checked, which is pretty stupid. Still it must have some effect otherwise the message of 300 people burned at the stake today http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif would not come up so often or at all.

Yeah it must have some impact... after all... bleeding the province dry of its people has to have some efect... and since all the plagues have an influence on income i thought it may have impact on income too

I don't think it does lower income, even though it should. It only cuts the zeal in the province in half that I know of, but it make affect income as well.

Me says it does no thing http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

I see the messages pop up from time to time, but I would be reluctant to say that it has any effect other then the zeal. It is a shame, because the population should be a factor in income, happines, even army train time: they have to have to get the guys from somewhere, these are not the undead armies after all...

One of my inquistors burned 4500 people in Denmark http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Maybe it lowers province happiness/loyalty?

New idea: doesn't it change the zeal in the province?

Sorry, that's an old idea, my fault http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

Does anyone have any evidence (experience) to support the idea that inquisitors raise/lower the tendency for religious revolts to occur? If you kill 300 heretics, and the province is poorly garrisoned, it would make sense for the population to uprise. If you kill 4500, they might think twice. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
I guess since they rapidly reduce zeal in a province, this would have a secondary effect of reducing the likelihood of religious uprisings in recently conquered heretic provinces.
