View Full Version : VIKING EXPANSION PACK QUESTION???
I realize that the VIKING EXPANSION pak for MTW will give some new maps as well as new clans. Additionally from the reviews that I have seen it looks like there will be some tools for managing your armies better before battle.
The question is: will this new management tool also work in the original version of MTW, or will it only work with the VIKING CLANS, campaign etc?
Thank you

So far as I'm aware all gameplay improvement to the game will be present in a slightly improved version of the origional MTW. So yes, you will now be able to do this if what I have read is correct.

Quote[/b] ]But we haven’t forgotten the main Medieval: Total WarTM game. The expansion pack also includes:
Three new playable factions - the Aragonese, the Sicilians and the Hungarians.
New units for many factions, including elite Arabic Faris cavalrymen, Russian Druhzina Cavalry, Hungary Jobbagy Infantry, and the fearsome, amazing Organ Gun - a Medieval “machine gun” of sorts
A new pre-battle system that allows you to scout out enemy forces and organise your reinforcements before a battle.
Boiling oil in sieges Beware of sending your men to attack the castle gates
Tweaks, changes and improvements to gameplay, including a couple of new buildings on the technology tree

whats it been 3 weeks?
THanx for the response, I was going to pass on this title till I heard about this. My one big problem with the series has always been organization of my armies. Now hopefully things will be a bit easier.

I would have said this means an earlier UK release to catch the traditional friday release schedule of the UK. Then a 7th (wednesday) release to US.
Just a thought. Normally it means UK release is 2-4 days later, so maybe we get lucky this time http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Of course the main site says on 14th:

So now I'm just confused http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
