I have noticed over the past few months that some clans have had problems with junior members upsetting people in the mp foyer. Does anybody have any ideas on how to stop this happening and how is it best dealt with.
I have read on some clan websites that age limits might stop this, but i've played with alot of good young players who act responsibly. Plus how would you be able to verify there age. Answers on a postcard please http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

well if they manage to get into our clan after training and all, then they have broekn one of the clan rules, and can be subject to be kicked out. If its a more permanent member who we have dispute with, Ravens will sovle it with a trial

Age limits are silly, easily avoided and never a sure way for honorable behaviour.

I've seen 14-year old (claiming to be 14 year) behaving much more adult than people who claimed to be 18 or so.

I think I know which member you're talking about.

If I'd be running a clan I'd give him 1 warning first, and then after a few days registrer an undercover account to check on his behaviour, got to love the Stalin way http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif. If he still behaves badly, kick him from the clan and cut all ties with him. I know one clan who lost most of my respect after accepting a certain member, now they regained it though, member was kicked http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif.

Listnen to complaints of fellow players, but dont rely on them solely. Always warn someone first, but dont be afraid to take action if someone is damaging your clans name.

Thanks To the Raven and Mith,
I suppose this was just a long winded way of saying sorry to anybody who has been on the receiving end of any personal comments. Sometimes people are not how you think they are.
Excaliber are an honourable clan and we care about what you think of us.

IMHO the age means nothing. One member clan can do bad things with any age.

I remember one of the most honourable and skilled players (won 1vs1 championship) on STW, he was MaskedTerrror (or Out4blood) and he was 14 years old (well, now should be 16-17...). We never had problems with him. Unfortunately he is lost in battle right now, hope that perhaps VI cant catch him and recover to us. Hi m8 http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Also we have in wolves some young members as Fast, Nash ans DRB (not so young Elo, dont be angry... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif ), not only skilled players but what is much more important, very nice guys.

And as mith says, if someone is doing bad things or so i dont care about his/her age, just advise and if no react then some actions must be neccesary.

Ale

Like me Its tough to be a junior member, the dishes keep piling up in the Nest and I get to do all the work http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Seriously though it is wise to keep an eye out on new members and track their behavior until they gain your trust. If there is a problem, confront the offender with this immediately or go rat on him to your superiors.

Clan honor is something you cannot afford to get stained.

Our clan has age limit because we do express some opinions quite frankly among ourselves, and we don't want some parents raise hell for helping them raise their kids. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

However, nobody check your age really.

As for maturity, I am 12 and Mithrandir is 13 http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

I am however, gladly, not a member of the FF http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif.

There are some rumours about me starting a new clan though, can't een remember the name, you have to ask Paul for that http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif .

I am sorry that you are not wearing [FF] tag. I suspect you would start a new clan. But why should I ask an RTK about you? The plot thickens... Does Cranda know about it?

I only just heard it myself, thats why.

Paul told me I was starting a new clan he read about it somewhere and he even knew the name of my clan, but it's hard to remember,so ask him http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif. As far as I know, I havent started a clan yet...

An interesting case of Rumor Mill http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Perhaps a taste of Byzantium court intrigue http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
