I installed my husband's copy of MTW, taking ONLY the CD out of the box and touching nothing else. I have been in trouble ever since, because the technology tree that was supposedly in the box has been missing ever since, even though I didn't touch it

Can anyone help me get out of the doghouse -- we have a fully paid for, registered copy of the game -- can you tell me how I can find the technology tree that will get me back in his good graces?? Is it online, can someone e-mail or snailmail me one?? Please help I will be so grateful --

Hi missgrundy

I'm sure you can get one online somewhere or maybe someone will scan there one in and send a copy to you, then you can print it out.

Thanks, I hope so. I think what he wants to know most is how to build ships -- can you tell me that?

You need to have build a castle in the province first, once that is build you of course need to build a port this can be used for trade and the building of warships.

Legend :

A black line means that the building can be improved .

A black arrow at the bottom right , means that this building is required for the construction of higher level building (-s) .
In the same way a black line situated at this place means that an improvement will be possible at a higher level .

A black line situated at the bottom left means that one ( or more ) building ( -s ) of lower level is required for the construction (or improvement ) of this building .

This building isn't ready for construction until a fixed date ( here the discovery of gunpowder ) .

You can't build it unless you have resource ( here iron )

It can only be built in a sea bordering region .

I hope this helps.

To Lord Krazy, merci beaucoup I decided to take of Wales
& Scotland first, so I have a huge army in
stuck in England waiting for a ride to
Normandy.

Samurai ninja of Doom Bobbit indeed. Perhaps you'd like
to back that up on the Field of Honor An
English executioner's axe awaits you.

To Lee Jackson Thanks for the link. It didn't show up on
a google search. It also doesn't explain
the path needed to build transports but has
other very useful info. Eg I've been
excommunicated and need raise the rabble's
happiness. Shogun24 verified my suspicion
that the town-watch would help. Of course
now that the people don't have Mass anymore
means that their Sundays are free. Now I
just need to find the tech-tree for the
NFL

Mr Gundy, er, missgundy...ah, I'm so confused. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif First, as Efrem said, welcome.

Regarding your comment to LeeJackson, there is no specific transport. A ship, any ship, will do to transport armies.

Also, unless you have a strong urge to recreate the D-day invasion, you can cross the channel via the land bridge between Wessex and Flanders and then get to Normandy. Of course, I image there are a few Frenchmen who might have a problem with that. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
