My little bishop

I can see that bishops/alims are useful for changing the faith in a region and thereby making it easier to take over a region and/or make a religious uprising, but besides that, what are they good for?

And: I have never seen a bishop gain valor. How do they gain valor?? Is valor based on converted headcount or whatever http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

They can also perform limited diplomacy offering cease fires and alliances. A successful diplomatic mission gains them valour, some also start with some valour. I think the english get a 3 star bishop at some point in the early period.

Yep the English get Thomas Beckett as a 3 star Bishop (he was the one who was killed by the King's guards by accident).

I like to use Bishops as Diplomats when it comes to dealing with other catholic factions, they seem to have a slightly smaller chance at being killed (and are more useful than your average Emissary in my opinion)

I made a monk who can preach and assasinate people, preaching and killing all in a day's work.

The monk has a new look as well, never before seen unless u look thoroughly thru the folders.
