Here is what it looks like.

Thanks to Tosa for compiling and uploading the package, now it's on the 3ddownloads. If you like to use the new font, get it here (http://www.3ddownloads.com/strategy-gaming/totalwar/Z_Beta_Files/MTWupload/FoyerFont.zip).

Note that Barocca may change the URL later when he resorts the uploaded files. Then you will be able to find it in the download section. I know it's a pain in the neck to get something from 3ddownloads, but my server is down at the moment. So if someone can mirror the file, it would be great.

After you get the zip file, unzip it into your MTW/MonoFont folder. Then run ChangeFont.bat from the folder to apply the new font. Use ResetFont.bat in case you want to restore the default font.

Polar is the Man http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smokin.gif

*Looking at the .bat*
So the fonts are in .tga? and its just switching to another neater font already available in MTW? Any idea how we can compile our own font to .tga e.g. garamond.ttf to garamond.tga?

Simply simple yet ingenius.

So Polar would you be making an upgraded-version of STW logbrowser for MTW? Its one of my fav piece of TW tweaky.

Fish, you could make your own font, but thats a lot of work. If you make a mistake, it may cause the game to crash. You need to strictly align each char. Looks like the blue lines and white dots are used to determine each char's height and width. There may be other restrictions, I dont know. If you wanna give it a try, good luck http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I made a logbrowser for MTW, but never released it coz I dont find it very useful, I rarely use it myself http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif You can use Magyar's logreader, I think theres some place to download it. If you want mine, I can send you thru email.

Excellent work Polar. I got use to the old english font over the last few months and at first this new font seemed a bit plain, but I've noticed there is less eye fatigue with the new font. It just easier to read it. After just a couple of sessions with this font, I won't be going back to the old english font.

You're logfile reader has been working very well for me, and I find it very useful. Matching up a logfile with a replay gives a nice summary of info on the battle, and you can quickly get info right after a battle without leaving the foyer. I haven't tried Magyar's reader, so I don't know how it compares, but I would reconsider releasing yours.

Polar, yes please I wanna try your logbrowser.. got use and prefer the STW-logbrowser layout.. I assume your MTW browser is more or less similiar.

Looking forward to it at teabun@yahoo.com thanks http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

BTW what does choice.com do? why XP need it to run the batch file? Anyway I manually change the fontnames.. just in case http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif

Polar

You've got mail

I'm not sure about choice.com, since I dont use XP. It's said that stock XP can't run .bat files and choice.com reenables it. So Tosa put it into the zip.

my preference http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif font copperb10

http://www.boomspeed.com/tootee/copperb10.jpg
