Map type causes lag [Archive]

I always have lag on coastal maps, does anyone else notice this problem? It seems the water slows it down or something, please don't host these maps if you want to play with me. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Or host them if you don't. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif I'm not sure others have the same problem.

yes Sko also i got some lag in coastal and in maps with thousand of trees.

That one coastal hill in 3v3 slams my PC. Am on dsl with Athlon 1.1 w/ 512 ram and I will not play this map. Gets me every time.

Maybe it is the additonal sound effects that have to go with the ocean. It could also be the moving water.
