I have a rather large problem/bug. I moved my Daimyo and all his 900 or so men to attack this province near this other one (Bad with names), meanwhile I win the province I was attacking but get attacked on one of my forward provinces and lose, thus cutting off that province. So my Daimyo and all his 900 men, kill themselves. Now, that's pretty sad because all the provinces beside that one had maybe 100 men at most which he could of fought out of.

Anyway, anyone know of a trainer or a cheat or something to make my army invincible for that one battle so I don't lose?

I'm pretty much dead otherwise. heh. Thanks in advance.

Uhoh, no cheats or trainers discussed here. Anyone postng links can expect Admin heavies to descend. i realise you're talkng single player, but start this discussion and posting links and we'll soon be in trouble.

you're best bet is to reload the last autosave and play it again. If you can't win the battles then don't invade, you're overstratched. The AI is beatable especially if you use the tips in the Strategy archive. If you edo as advised there and still lose the battles then it's time to restart the campaign, you've already lost http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif

Your overstreched - plain and simple. Hold off taking that province until you can defend the staging area properly.

You don't understand. It's an autosave that I have to work with. That's it. The auto save takes me to the end of the turn, and doesn't let me change my moves so I automatically lose that daimyo and his mean. I have the biggest army in Japan last turn. Ugh. I need to fix it.

Actually, hate to contradict you Catiline-san, but if someone posts a link to a single-player trainer (like something done with the troopstats editor... I dunno), that is quite OK by us. As long as it's not adaptable for MP purposes to spoil someone else's fun, it's your game, play it how you like. Of course, I don't know of a SP trainer, but then again I haven't studied the subject very extensively... http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/rolleyes.gif So, it's just the MP stuff that should be kept out. Thank you.

And as for the actual question. Why does the daimyƓ kill himself? I mean, at least in the original game you can very well possess a province completely cut off from your "mainland"... The wholesale suicide occurs only if someone conquers that single province, because your units have nowhere to retreat to. Maybe I can't visualize this correctly. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/confused.gif

Ok, vbut unless i can be totally sure any trainer can only be SP any links will be edited anyway. Just so you all know http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif.

Yep, sometimes you gotta learn this one the hard way.

I don't know why he kills himself. The Shimazu general decides he cannot win and autommatically win the battle then I die, so I guess I'm screwed now and will have to start a new game. Pity that one took eight hours.
