Its already posted in The Dungeon but deserves a thread here too http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I'm trying to recreate early renaissance warfare with this mod, using the units we already have in MTW.

It's simple to install and easy to use. What more can you ask for http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I hope a few more people install this so we can have some big Italian War games. Also, if you ask CBR, he'll fill you in on the next release in the series which is looking very exciting.

Since this MOD comes highly recommended and was created by one of the best new players around--for multiplayers only, I've downloaded it and will give it a try...

...when I stop getting the "account details incorrect" message that is...

cant wait CBR looks fun I think I'll like the stark rock/sciccors/paper feel.

Edit: 2 questions:

1)Can you play vs. non-modded players by selecting a normal era?

2) If not, and I use the -reload command, do I have to relog to the foyer after switching off the Italian Wars stat?

Lets see:

If you are stil using the custom stats you cant play with non-modded players even with a normal era.

If you have the -reload command you should be able to play a normal game again after swapping stats even without relogging. But you might still need to restart MTW .. I crash if I try to join/host a normal game after swapping back to normal stats.

I dont know why as it should work. For me it looks like I can swap stats once but not twice before I need to restart MTW.

hmmm, that might be related to teh standard CTD problems.

I've found that I can host 2 good 4v4 games before I have to relog, and then I can host 1 more. Then I have to restart MTW if I want to host any more 4v4's...

..now that I'm used to the bugs and I know what I can get away with it is much less frustrating, although still a bit annoying.

I cant wait to give the italian wars a try, im sure I'll see you guys tomorrow.

I've had problems hosting a second time without a restart, so I now have the habit of restarting MTW after every game that I host. If I'm a joiner to someone else's game, I just relog to refresh the playlist and to see newly hosted games.

I did recently have a problem when I hosted an all20 game which doesn't even requre a stat swap. We didn't launch the battle since not enough players had the all20. After exiting and hosting a normal game, I had no shields at all in the faction selection screen. I had a faction, but couldn't change it, and it wasn't a case of teh shields being invisible because I tried clicking on where teh shields would have been. At least one joiner had no shileds as well. We both had to restart MTW to get the shields back.

I've encountered the exact same problems after hosting All20 games. Its very bad, and I restart MTW after having hosted All20's.

This restart/relog problem is an annoyance http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif
