ok. picture this. i am playing as Hojo.. the campaign that starts at 1530 on normal.. all of north japan is mine all the way up to Mino and yamachiro.. i attack a large rebel army with about the same forces WITH my aging daimyo(79) in that army.. something goes very wrong and the rebels have high honour monks.. my daimyo is killed in battle. and the battle is lost. when i get back to the strat. map it plays the death poem meaning i had no heirs... when in reality i had 3 of age and 2 not of age...then i also noticed that all the unit banners were green.... like shimazu.... THEN i watch in fascination.. more like horror as there is a revolt in ever single one of my provinces... they were all well over 100% loyal some well over 200%... needless to say. i lost. if that doesn't sound like a bug then i don't know what does!

Maybe there is a place you could upload the save b4 this happened so the developers could recreate the bug

hmm interesting
similar to a story i heard before
possibly not a bug at all
i mean, your daimyo was 79 and a legend
he did oversee the conquering of half of japan
often nations collapsed after the death of a great leader
just a thought
mebbe...

Did you ask Erado San about it in the Tech Forum?

Also see http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001745.html for a very similar situation I faced.

I suspect there is something very subtlely wrong here!

Irving, if you weren't so cheap and bought musketeers instead of arquebusiers, this wouldn't happen! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Yoko... maybe you are right.. i mean my daimyo had been ruling for like 50 years.. but what would they be revolting against?

Did your heirs join the ill fated rebellion? Sometimes to take a largely garrisoned province I move in two or three armies with three seperate generals. Only one general is such on the battlefield, the other are nameless grunts one of 120 in a unit. If that unit suffers casualties, the general, as a grunt, might fall, hence when the battle is over that army has a new general.

What I'm wondering is if it gave him a death poem, why the hell did it not just go straight to the cut-scene of him getting burned, like its supposed to.. very odd.

I don't think this is a bug. You maybe bypassed a message window explaining the phenomenon (other people that have seen similar occurrences report a message window with the news of why it's happening)... enemy shinobi activity may have been involved...

But i don't think it's a bug. Did you try reloading your autosave? If it happens again, it probably wasn't a random thing (bug)...

Edit: Reread your post... you had heirs of age, and it said your clan could not go on, but the game did not end? Maybe it IS a bug...
