I ask for this every few months and always get the same reply'but has anybody got or know where i can find online the full campaign map from the game.

Yes i know Erado or someone has made one that looks similar and has facts and figures'but i mean the actual one from the game with the little pretty pictures etc.

I think it would make a nice framed picture!!

I have built a large physical map on some spare ping-pong tables I had. This way I can make my movement decisions while I eat or watch primetime football. I even made some prongs out of pool cues to move my army pieces around the map. Gives it a nice warlike feel. I have little rocks arranged into mountain ranges, added little fake trees, have little castles, bridges, etc. Whole thing takes up the whole living room!

Now THAT is a campaign battle map!

LOL, Vanya -- Actually...
WARNING... old fart alert!
That's pretty much the way it used to be for me and my 25mm Miniatures wargaming buds! We were usually restricted to a single Ping-pong table, but sometimes the scenery looked pretty good!

Sometimes as we pushed "little tin soldiers" around, we just had to leave a game set up to finish it on a second evening.

Although for some reason, that never seemed to happen when the game was at a household which included spouses, kids, or even cats... not sure why. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

Actually, my cat (the inspiration for my sig) is quite proficient at wargaming. He spends LONG hours perusing the board before any moves. But when he does make his move, the effect is devastating.

He also likes to play cards. He frequently sits in when we need a fourth.

I was thinking of buying some authentic samurai armor, so I could play Shogun in full gear. Complete with katana and naginata. To my dismay, I cannot keep a horse in my meager back yard, so no charging down the drive way chopping watermelons off poles for me...!

Of course, the urban version of heavy cavalry would probably be on a motorcycle: heave cycle troops! But to do it right, you'd need a Harley... and adding training wheels to such a machine would not make my men more likely to rally when faced with battlefield 'challenges'... http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

It may be funny, but its no lie about my cat.

He's 18 years old and has learned a thing or two about gaming.

He likes to build impressive defensive positions and then attack the enemy on the flanks.

And he is a whiz at trick taking card games.

He also has worked out a couple of cheats, he's good at stealing your chits while your back is turned.

Should you wish to imitate Vanya-san, I'll refer you to the Online Japanese Armor Construction Manual (http://www.geocities.com/sengokudaimyo/katchu/0.Home.html). Yes, it's for real.

Great stuff, Ansii! Now I can make my own kabuto! What I can prop it up on my shoulders with a twig... or make a really big kabuto that can fit my pumpkin head!
