Hi
hope you all aint bored of this one just yet??
Anyway - I havent played the MI yet (in the post) so I make no comments on that other than what I hear here.
My opinion of the moral in STW is that it was spot on in terms of playability - a poor attack with H0 troops would result in running before fighting, and H4 + often fight to the death.
My Question is - In the REAL historic battles how much of a losing army was typically killed - and how many survived to tell the tale? If anyone knows this - then surely it should be the basis for the moral system?
Say for example that units fighting in real life would run when at 50% of original size- leaving half of the vanquished army alive (less the ones hacked down whilst fleeing) - then would it not be best if this were to be represented by an H2 unit in STW/MI - to recreat the realism of directing troops. I doubt that many troops fought till the last - just like few units in stw are above H4.
Thats my take (Pre MI) on moral!
