View Full Version : GENERATION OF CHEATERS IS INCOMING!!!!

WITH the new possibilities to create MODS and to trnasform units the GENERATION of CHETERS is every day near.

Games like DELTA FORCE 2, who was a very nice game, was totally destroyed with the appearance of MODS and EDITION posibilities.

MAP EDITION is totally a beatiful thing and units OUTLOOK is maybe another; But to edit the properties of every unit and the concept of the game goes DOWN !

I dream to edit my own army but not the properties of it!... i mean making my units look fiercy or grotesque... maybe ....
and change the colors maybe edit the weapons ... but not the basic concept of the game...

A patch will not resolve this CRISIS, with a new patch normal players and cheaters will become new tools, but only cheaters will become better things from it!
EA CA DT make a big failure... i love their game but to make too many failures in a game there are only two motives:

A) MONEY B) NOT INTEREST

EVERYONE THAT SAW the movies and intro of WE adn MI knows that the intro was only an easy edition of clips form "RAN" from AKIRA KUROSAWA...The movies in campaigns are only scenes that are placed in different orders that's all.
UNITS were good only for the MONGOL side but what about JAPANESE side??!?!?... the game is not an UPDATE it's an "DOWNDATE". It's my personly meaning. I can hear what everybody say but there is no reason that a COMPANY that actually makes games forgot it's PRINCIPAL GOAL ... BRING FUN AND ENTERTAINMENT!...

I m very upset... we really waited a long time for this and now we got it!...

Skull, I wish to inform you that:

If not all the players in a particular match have the same unit stats, the game would crash.

So, well your problem is resolved.

Do not be upset. You cannot change even 1 unit parameter by a single point, and then successfully play a battle. The game immediately goes out of sync. While not ideal, at least it stops cheating with altered unit stats. I don't think the game is ruined by the parameter editing.

There is a problem with hosts getting a win logged in the EA database when the joiner drops. This is a problem in STW as well. The EA server has to be made a little more intelligent about when it logs a win.

I've had a chance now to play some more online games with altered morale and unit stats, and it's very promissing. All the enjoyment of the original STW comes back without any really drastic changes. That's what we want so we can use the bigger maps, new units and new victory conditions. If we can just get a little better positioning on the morale scale and a few unit tweeks in a patch, the online game will soar. The present gameplay of WE/MI will still be there, but at higher koku. That could easily be made the default koku setting. The morale level of the single player campaigns is apparently set independently from the multiplayer and custom game. So, campaigns wouldn't be affected by adjusting multiplayer levels. Any unit tweeks would have to be carefully considered, so as not to upset the playbalance in the single player.

Thank you CA for allowing us to mod this game. This is what many of us asked for and you gave us this option. I only currently play SP. Most of the people that buy this game only play SP. Many MP players are unhappy with the new morale situation and will probably use the editable features of the game to come to a 'consensus' mod even before a patch is released. Well done designers! You have made it possible to satisfy both Japanese history fans and pure RTS gamers. Edited cheats will not work because the game will go out of sync in MP.

Sorry to the critics of the MI but I don't share your pessimism.

Now this is a nice balanced and friendly statement if ever i saw one. Is this a good example of passive/agressive behavior? Just wondering.....
