GOODBYE FROM BOROMIR

It is with sadness that I announce my leaving.

I no longer feel any affinity to the game and a large majority of it's players.

Thanks to all those people I would call my friends : The DREADMASTER CLAN and Elmarko.

I have had many happy hours playing with you guys and I will keep in touch with you.

Apolgies to those I have not mentioned but I cant name them all and I dont want to name the ones who repulse me.

Thanks for the many great battles and memorable moments.

The league can run itself i think, but unfortunately I cannot continue.
There are many reasons for my leaving but I do apologise for messing up the league.

Bye to all and may you continue to prosper in all your different ways.

With great regret I must depart. Swiftfully but not painlessly.

I will keep an eye on goings on though on this forum.

Boro -- you've been very polite in all my dealings with you, so I have a lot of respect for you. You have obviously put a lot of your time and effort into the league and that is/was VERY appreciated. You did it for free and your work was most admirable.

But I must say that it's upsetting that the league was formed and expected to run for 10 weeks or so and then 3-4 weeks the towel is thrown in. People have gotten excited about the league and some of us have spent several hours playing battles. Its disappointing that you won't stick out the season.

I do think a better explanation of your frustrations and reasons for dropping things would be fair to those of us who have tried to make the league fun and successful.

Have you arranged with any of your friends who were helping you with the league whether they are willing to keep it going? It would be nice to have a legacy that kept on.

I just got back after being away for 2 weeks. I visited Shai Hulud while I was in Hawaii, and he told me you were leaving. I'm sorry to hear this. I know running the league was a big undertaking, and I appreciate your efforts even though I was not able to join due to time limiations. I really enjoyed playing in the 2v2 tourney as your ally a few months ago.

If you're leaving because of harassment online, I hope that the Honor Society can in time create a better playing environment, and that you might then consider playing online again.

I dont like people to think that I just ran away when the going got tough so this really is the reason for the post. ( the first time I have been able to come back).
