Anyone ever had a high level kensai general?

They always come with zero or one star so I never bother to use them as generals.

I've had (or should I say everyone gets) Kensai generals in the Historical Campaigns.
Surely it's possible to have them in the main campaign game too?

Kensai generals certainly are possible, even desirable, with this caveat: a kensai general can be assassinated by a ninja, which of course removes the entire unit! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/redface.gif

Perec is correct - you can have them as generals. You cannot have heirs as kensai tho. And the AI does tend to attack and kill kensai generals via assassination whenever it can. If your going to use a kensai general, make sure you have 3-5 good honor shinobi with him at all times to stop assassinations.
