After reading a bit of the the multiplay thread and considering my own apperance I think it might be a good idea to make some alliances in this forum for future play.
What about you?

I remember playing C&C back in the day and having truces on certian things like for instance HT: not attacking harvisters. Yeah, they were stupid in my oppinion but I think they might be a little more use full in multiplayer with some planning.

For instance (not saying this is good, just a example):

In a 5000 koku game you must:
-Use a maximum of 7 weapon/armour upgrades
-Out of your army 70% must be H2 ashis
-you can have a maximum of 10% of your army as ND or NG
-10% can be Horses
-10%Can be monks.

Somthing along those lines could be very productive for tournments or playing games with people you know.

We could make a bunch and put them on a site so players can print them off. Then in the lobby you can put in your game name what type of unit groups you can use.

I guess we could assemble a group of top players to judge restrictions. Then we would need people to test. No one said it would be easy but I deffinitly think its worth a try.

I don't know, I think it would be usefull. Tell me your thoughts!

Think we could apply these to non tournement games?

Yeah, like abstaining from putting bayonets on your arquebuses... that would violate the Genehiko Convention that guides the conduct of war activities samurai armies are to obey.

Some people like myself have a rule of a limit of 5 max of each type for example.

I would like to see things like T mentioned as an option in gameplay, however you are demanding to much for the kind of developers and publishers we have.

Was that a jibe, Tera?

Some nice ideas, T - unfortunately, there may not be a chance to implement them for future MI patches. Lots of people have complained that there isn't enough control over the multiplayer games - so it's something we'll bear in mind for Crusader even if we don't get the chance to rectify with Shogun.

I'm sorry I can't be any more help to you matey.

And it looks like I just proved Tera right. Damn!

Oppps, did I make it sound like they needed to be built in the game? Even though that would be a very cool, and not imposible addition I merly ment it as somthing that we can organize within ourselves.

heh, thanks for dropping by Target. I am glad to have accedently givin you an idea.

Target,

Unfortunately you are practically the only active developer who comes here to see us and get into contact with us...thanks! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

However, guys, we can always do unofficial tournaments and leagues with these rules. They worked in the past...now we are used to it anyway. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Well I do hope the upcoming patch will resolve almost all of these concern, and for me esp the cheap armour/weapon upgrade.. geesh they are way too cheap..
