Battlefield ninjas and dutch musketeers

Funny I never get the chance to buld battlefield ninjas.. exactly what buildings must one have before one can build that unit?

Once I even finished building all the buildings that I can build in a province, and yet I still cannot the necesary. I can;t find any information on how to achieve it.

And also, are 'dutch' musketeers any different from Portugese musketters? It says that they have higher morale...but hmm..didn't notice anything different.

you need a palace and infamous ninja dojo to get the battlefield ninja dojo structure option.
ducth guns have a slightly better range, but overall the main advantage is the lack of christianity that goes with acquiring them.

I'd try it again today..even though in some of my provinces where there are palaces...after i finished building all my regular units, I never get the 'ninja' building option anymore. Is tehre a maximum number of buildings a province can build? (er, overcrowded perhaps?)

yes, so sometimes you might jhave to destroy an obsolete structure or two in order to get the options to build other things. this means a bit of planning in some regions, but most of the time the simple things like watchtowers can be let go if that province is no longer neighboring enemy armies; this clears up one slot quickly.

I was of the opinion that to get the BN you need infamous ninja house and the sword dojo? Palace is not required as far as I can remember.

If you accept Portuguese traders but don't build churches, you can still make trading posts. Does that mean you didn't really go Christian?

Kiwi is right. It's the drill dojo that requires a palace (and a fortress).
