So all you die hard oldie but goodie veterans...until the patch for MI comes out, how about you come back a play a bit at the old battlefield? Hmmmm? I am waiting on MI and there is never anyone on the STW server. I miss you all *sniffle*

my guess is that most people uninstalled the original STW when they got the STW:WE game. still, methinks Hach might still be found on the old server....

Well, you can have both the original STW and MI installed on the PC. That's what I have done. I still visit the two online but seems WE has more players, except that I have never once engaged in battle in MI.. the players seem so ..er.. different.. yeah.. I really miss all the great old STW veterans. The players in MI/WE are.. well.. not exciting I would say!

GIMME the MI PATCH b4 I die of battle boredom!!!

The fall off in numbers in STW was happening long before the Mongol expansion came....Alot of people had been getting really pissed off with the continuing delays in the release of MI and many saw it as a good time to take a break and explore other games (myself included). I think there was a great deal of hope that MI would breath new life into the shogun community....but I think when many STW players actually got their hands on MI and played it online they were extremely dissapointed to say the least. I think many vets are "sleeping" at the moment......playing other games online...doing other things.....waiting for the MI patch.

I have been getting back online over the past couple of weeks and have noticed that the combined numbers on both MI and STW come nowhere near even half the numbers that STW had at its peak.

I think that STW is one of the best online strategy games ever! if not THE best! my hat is off to EA and CA on that one.....but their support/product development is a joke. So it makes me wonder if the patch will cure the current woes...or if it will ever come along at all (remember 1.13???)....nothing suprises me anymore.

This game always had a hardcore support but from what I see that hardcore has all but vanished online. People are voting with their feet.

I hope the patch resolves the main problems with MI and that Shogun returns to full health soon.

You have to register first at the website, then go to the in-game registration, right?

I've been able to register now but when I go in to sign on (after checkin family name and all that) it always says "have you created a user id..or whatever). Jeez, what a rediculous pain in the ass!

I had the same prob MIZILUS. There is a separate place to sign up for the new server. I think I was signing up on the old server, which only allowed for my new names in the old STW. I do not have the URL thought where to sign up. Does anybody have that info. for MIZI? Please post it here for him.
