Heya lads, I was roaming the net searching for samurai/shogunTW info when I stumbled upon your luvely forum,
I've owned shogun since it came out and never played it much (mostly because I was horrible at it) now Ive finally returned triumphantly (sp.?) to the battlefield and I'm loving it. I just ordered the Mongol Invasion and I cant wait, It sounds FANTASTIC. The premise, new units, and editor sound fantastic. Anything else I might want to know? information on it is pretty scarce. BTW is anyone here a kendoka? I love martial arts and more or less anything pertaining to Japanese Culture (I might get to go there through school this summer =) Anyway, just wanted to say hi to you lads...so....hi

Thank you for being so welcoming (Ive been in many less err.... welcoming forums) I currently know very little japanese but I'm working on it =) Thank you for all being so welcoming. Oh One quickie, How are Yari Cavalry best used? Cavalry archers seem to be better against archers in hand to hand than Yari (I lose MANY Yari Cav. here) So there there one unit (No Dachi possibly?) which Yari are good against (aside from routing troops).

Yari Cavalry slaughter Jap Heavy Cavalry and Cavalry Archers in melee...

YariCav are better at killing archers than Cavalry Archers I thought...try it again takeda, on a flat map - you were probably going up hill or in a forrest or sommint...or maybe not...I dunno...
