Has anyone noticed that if you play the after 1580 campaign the Tokeguwa daiymo is active, though the emissary still refers to the old daiymo?

Too bad, it might take too much developing budget to figure out an independent theme for Tokugawa. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif

The text files speak of the "Tokugawa clan" (as well as the "Toyotomi clan"), but I guess they didn't fully flesh it out in the sound files. Another feature that almost made it.
