I have played a couple of games and I have found thats the muskets seem more powerful. But they also cost more. Am I right in thinking they have a bigger kick.

It's like the difference between Ashigaru and Samuri spearmen I think. The muskets are more accurrate like the samuri spears do greater damage. Something like that anyway. I think the arques rout more easily aswell like the Ashigaru spearmen.

Hell, if musks are better?

They shoot in rain now, and they kill a lot per volley. Also the pace of the game is faster, and the guns kill a lot faster.

But arquebusiers have better H2H abilities than musketeers because their guns are larger and heavier, and thus deliver more force on impact per square inch than the mere musket.

I would say the musketts are around 33% better than in STW. The cost has been increased 43%. So, maybe it balances out, but their ability to make units rout is really apparent now at the new lowered (STW equvalent) morale.

I'm thinking guns were made more deadly because at the high morale of WE/MI v1.0 you could probably successfully charge them if they weren't improved.
