Wanting the Mongols to get more reinforcements, I enticed them to attack an undefended Echigo, which they did. The next season, a loyalist uprising of about 300 (0) honor troops 1ND, 1SA, 3YA, occured and the long dormant, 3 full ronin armies of Mutsu sends in about 700 troops to seize the province as well. I got the message to fight or flee which also categorized the ronin invaders as "neutral forces". I fought and crossed the bridge to watch the ronin rout the Mongols. I wasn't sure if they were going to attack me or not until their archers opened up on me. It was late, I was tired, I just charged everybody into the fray and got routed as you might expect. To my surprise though, I also got the win and that yellow general that ran away got promoted! Go figure! Whats up with that?

no more mongols = a win.
doesn't matter if there are ronin on japan or not, or just how the mongols were driven away.

Ahah! Thanks Soly. Oh by the way, do you know what folks are talking about when they speak of other clans (not ronins) fighting the Mongols...with monks no less? How is this done?

I believe that you are talking a about the campaign made by Barocca which is very good even though I havent played it. ( I have to say that we are in the same clan. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif)

Oh man, would you tell me how to get it?!!! I'd love to see how monks handle Mongol HC or maybe it's the other way around. I'd also like to try other clans against the Mongols. Many thanks!

and what to do with it,
and do try normal settings first, they are designed to be hard on normal...

Thanks Barocca. I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing to get it, but when I signed onto your site and dbl clicked "files" it says it's under construction. When I dbl clicked your name, I just got the yahoo search engine... I'm really eager to give your campaign a whirl! It sounds fantastic!
