Forum speed

Konnichiwa,

This forum is in use for some weeks now. I'ld like to know how the navigation is (the speed of loading topics and such). I have a DSL connection and I don't feel much pain/can't observe when things go slower. What's your experience?

Feel free to add some comments about the speed.

I'm a cable guy. The Org is as fast as it's even been.

I'm at 56k at home, and T3 cable at work, so I usually reserve any .Org moderator work and perusing of big threads with graphics (ie. Babbiest Bab thread) at work and only the occasional browsing when at home.
No problems with speed either way.

It seems fine to me...no more than a few seconds pause when transfering between topics...the babe thread and others that are pages long are a bit slow but that is normal and to be expected with my hardware. Overall I am satisfied that the Org. pages work as well as any other professional sites that I have encountered.

I made some minor changes, it feels a tad faster for me. Barocca has optimized the forumbuttons/pics. It should improve things for 56k modems. I'll add a LiteSkin for those who need even more speed.

I'm on cable too, since April. I do notice a slight change, but I still remember how slow the old board was on my 56K hookup. Any thing you can do for those folks to speed it up would be much appreciated by them.

well i am on a simple dial=up connection ( 56K ) and is work just fine .i observed an impove when i use my linux system and not the win comp but i think is a matter of OS

56k here, and it loads faster than the old forum.

i find the speed fine and im on a 56k, obviously pictures take a noticable amount of time but its no big deal because the text loads first anyway http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
