You should try a great game made years ago, before Lords of the Realm called Conqueror 1086. Its a groovy RPG/Strategy games that see's you at the start with a small fief and lets you raise an army serve/kill the king and join in on Tournaments like Joust's and Melee's.

Old but fun game, sometimes a bit frustrating though http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Right on. I'm glad that somebody else remembers that game. It was a little too easy but it combined a lot of great stuff. I liked how you had the economy building screen, the battle map like in MTW albeit a much cruder version, the Jousting and Fighting at the Tournament, the first person POV for castle defense/attacks, and the role playing to get married or to buy stuff. Also you could fight a dragon.
The best part was if you got the right sword you didn't have to pay the moneylender. He would send his thug after you, you'd kill the thug and then next turn you could borrow money again. I always had cash. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif
