MI port down. Switch over to STW\'s and play MI -- Re-post from main S

I obtained this from main STW forum. You also have to change the cd key to STW's. I am not sure for WE.. since I am using MI and I can't login using MI cd-key but can do with STW's.

Admins, please leave this thread here,
the MI server is down and people who want to play this weekend need to know
how to switch between servers.

in your game directory find the file Internet.cfg,
(Warlords Edition -or- Mongol invasion -or- whatever you called the directory)

make a copy of this file and rename it to
Internet.cfg.(!).STW.(!)

make a second copy and rename it to
Internet.cfg.(!)WE-MI.(!)

open Internet.cfg.(!).STW.(!) in notepad and edit the line
ChatserverPort = XXXX
to
ChatserverPort = 8793
save the file

open Internet.cfg.(!)WE-MI.(!) in notepad and edit the line
ChatserverPort = XXXX
to
ChatserverPort = 8794
save the file


now
rename your current internet.cfg file to Internet.cfg.(backup)

copy the .cfg for the server you want to log on to

Internet.cfg.(!).STW.(!) for the STW (original) server,
Internet.cfg.(!)WE-MI.(!) for the MI server,

rename the copy to
Internet.cfg

load the game and enjoy


WE-MI players can log onto the STW server, see and chat to all players of all
versions,
but will only see and be able to join WE-MI games.

STW players on the STW server will be able to see and chat to all players of all
versions,
but will only be able to see and join STW games.


The WE/MI server is down this weekend,
so use the STW server file Internet.cfg.(!).STW.(!)
you created above

I am now using old STW's port setting.. I see only Cancritter online.. but he has since left.. there is no MI/WE warrior to play with.. a miserable 10 STW players in the foyer.. I am down with flue.. I have just taken the pill for running nose, and I am very drowsy now.. but I still wanna play MI! Tachikaze: You just have to Alt-tab to switch out of MI, change back to MI port (XXX4), and re-logon to server with MI cd-key.

Ah Tera.. I don't let my defeats bug me too long, maybe a few nights of nightmare lol.. but seems like I've been losing to your Aku lately http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif maybe I have too much of American pie too(2) (and it's a horny little movie)..
