I was playing as the Byzantines and had conquered more than 60% of the map. The only faction that were left were mine, the Italians with 2 provinces, the Pope with one, the egyptians with one and the polish with all remaining provinces.

The thought that entered my mind was that it would be nice if I, as the leader of the Byzantines, could give back some provinces to factions that had been eliminated.

In this particular campaign the Almoheds had been dominating and at one point i decided it was enough and I would reclaim the lands they had so brutally taken. I wiped put the Almoheds of course, since they didn't want to listen to reason, and at some point I would have liked to reward my trading partners by returning their liberated lands. Imagine how grateful they would have been! I also would have liked to have given them an army to defend their newly found freedom.
I would have had new allies, grateful trading partners, and more factions on the map.

anyhoo...i imagine that these kind of changes are too big to incorporate in the present game, but maybe for the next TW.

- If so, I have the same problem. The more you conquer, the poorer you get....

Odd how you can only trade with your enemies...

no...i don't mind about missing my trade income...I was doing just fine with poland as my allied trading partner


I just miss the diversity on the map as it was there in the beginning and being able to restore kings currently living in exile to power would increase my enjoyment in the game.

Remove the garisson from some of your provinces, let dissorder claim the land, and you'll get to see some nice coloured stacks pomping out here and there.
