Finally found a new unit in the Patch,
Muslim Arabian Knights!
They only appear if you have a rebellion in a Muslim Province, but they are truly awesome!
Heavily Armoured Horse, Truly a match for Christian Religous Knights!
oddly the Muslim Arabian Knights seem to have the wrong name and they look vaguely familiar too, i think the name needs fixing,
I'll look through the prod files and see if i can find the error,
because the Muslim Arabian Knights show the name Knights Santiago,
and thats exactly what they look like too.

Still having problems with the compass http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/mad.gif, already have a fortress and a dock or whatever but it keeps on stating that I need the compass to start building it. I also already had the 'compass-invented' message. Can't I build those better dockyards untill a certain timeperiod?
I have a theory about all these weird units in the rebels,
like Spanish Jinettes showing up in scotland rebellions,
and Italian Light Infantry in denmark rebellions,
my theory is somehow the "rebels" can have units that are available to the mercenary pool...

Good point Barocca...........there is no reason why the rebels can't have mercenaries if they are available, it certainly makes the rebellions more interesting. We will now have to monitor what mercenaries there are roaming around. This game gets even more intriguing.
That might exlpain why people have reported Knights Santiago as reappearing Almohads.
Too bad CA didn't make a new picture for them. They sound fun.

same as in this i think, the tech tree fails to state that gunpowder and foundrys are needed to build past dock level 2.

I disbanded some orderfoot once and the egyptians bought them as mercs and used them against me in palistine.
You could be onto something there Fearless, maybe it's not a bug, but a feature,
after all if the player can hire those units from the mercenary pool then why not the rebels!!

Makes sense since El Cid was a famous rebel and merc for both sides.

Now here's a good point! If we all new what to expect from the game in regards to rebellions etc there wouldn't be any moans and groans about italian troops appearing in scotland. Many of the problems have been caused by insufficient information on the gameplay in both the manual and strategy guide. If we know that rebellions have the possibility of hiring mercenaries then we ain't go'in to moan about it!!!
