My fellow Total War brothers and sisters. I have recently started participating in an online game called OutWar. Some of you have possibly heard of this, I don't know. The idea of the game is to create a player and build their wealth, allowing them to buy various upgrades to aid their quest to become stronger and eventually win trophies. My problem is this. I have recently created a crew in which I have several Total War players involved. I was recently attacked by another player who told me to quote put away my sissy sword and come and join a real crew. I was then attacked again by someone from his crew saying Total War is a game for poofs and my crew wouldn't last. What I want the Total War community to do is band together behind me and my OutWar crew and show these guys what Total War is all about. All I need everyone to do is click on the link at the bottom and my crew will increase by one each time. You will be taken to the OutWar page registered under the name Stumpydageez (that's me AggonySwiift. Have a read and maybe create your own player and lets show these so called tough guys how to play their game. If you join up you will need to transfer your player to the role playing league, that way I can invite you to my crew and we get one step closer to crushing these obnoxious guys. Once you have transferred yourself to the role playing league please e-mail me and tell me what your OutWar name is so I can invite you.

Doesn't work. The site logs your IP address so if you have a static IP as you will likely have on a permanent connection you can only add one per day. However because my dial up conection at home has a dynamically assigned IP, it gets a new one each time it connects. Turns out that Outwar is in the middle of a dispute with the folks that host the domain name. The site is still accessable if you type in an alternate domain name. I&#39;ll drop the link at the end.

I found out some interesting things about this game. I attacked BigKingSanctaphrax as a test and found that even though I have more items than he does, he still won. BigKingSanctaphrax has 86 thugs (10 of them are me) and I have 15. This appears to make an impact. From there, I raided a couple of other players and bought equipment that enhances defense. I attacked BigKing again and won. Interesting. In any event, here is the link

Vice versa, you have the potential to generate decent quantities of cash if only you were left alone.

Look to the menu bar on the left. Do you see an option (I think it is below attack log) that says crew invitations?

By the way, I have found that having a surplus of cash is useful for keeping your equipment pristine. If someone attacks you and takes all your cash, the next attack will start devalueing your equipment. Only attack and defense items seem to be affected by this. So, BigKingSanctaphrax, you might want to attack a few people to bring your cash reserves up.

Ok... I think seanodon wishes to aid us...somehow. I&#39;m not sure I get it though. SOunds like he wants to use a bat to club whoever said the unkind words about MTW players but that his wife won&#39;t let him. She is angry and he wants to know who told the missus.

Chimpboy is actually my own little invention i&#39;m afraid, just to see if I could do it. The 50+ followes come from bothering to earn him the free points and spending the money on power. Unfortunatly I only seem to benefit from his thugs after clicking the link specially. All the same if anyone sees any worthy new members I&#39;ll invite them, seems to me the only way to survive in this game is to have a large crew.

Anyhow in the mean time i&#39;m getting 3 attacks per turn, have loads in the bank and a nice set of weapons and skills. The only thing holding me back is my rather sad collection of thugs.

Some tips to remember....
First thing to do is get your cash flow to its maximum by getting 4 of each casino and crack house. Then you can start looking at buying some stuff. The first thing I would buy is a pair of x-ray goggles. It basically tells you if you can beat the person you are going to attack. E.g. Where it sometimes says, this player is too powerful or weak to attack, it will say this will be a fairly easy fight or this will be a tough fight. Good purchase. Then you don&#39;t waste attacks.
Always leave money in the open. People get more money from destroying weapons than just taking money.
With the new skills, have one person cast the skill on a particular person and the rest of the crew attack them while the skill is still effecting that person. You can do a lot of damage to a player by using teamwork like this. Communicate through msn to get the timing right with this one, it works better. AggonyKiller and I have put many people out of their misery by doing this.
When finding a new player to attack, pick someone that has weapons, has not much money in the open, and always check the crew theyre with first. If its got some big name players in it, sometimes its better to move on than to attack.

Swiift: Thanks for dropping by and offering your assistance. After my fearless leader dropped the Final Fantasy crew on our enemies list, it looks like I need it. To enforce MonkeyMan&#39;s declaration of war, I picked out a target and dutifully attacked 3 times. Seems that earned me a place on a hit list and I fear I am now besieged. 4 seperate people attacked me. I successfully defended a couple of times but I did get rocked. Incidently, I noticed that Akira got creamed by an unknown force after I dropped his name here so if that was you, I thank you.

Not really sure, I think I probably did a random attack on one of them and got hitlisted. I thought given their crew was at war with me I&#39;d let you join in on the fun. I&#39;m taking a beating at the moment anyway, so I&#39;m sitting on my bank account, building up my thugs and getting a few hundred attacks in the pot before I embark on another trip up to the higher levels. We do now have a couple of allied crews and the guy called TheDesertEagle who was on our hitlist is off it.

Ok then a full update of my various dealings. essentially I went through the list of players and invited any monkey sounding people (or anyone with a cool name) to join the crew. I also initiated a few friendly alliances. I recieved a couple of conciliatory messages from some guys who we are mutually on hit lists of and for the most part they are removed and treated as friends until they prove otherwise.

I&#39;ve been smiting everyone in Mob4500 like crazy. I saved up about 300 attacks to do the job proper. Seems Palmman is beyond my reach. How are you faring, MonkeyMan?

Not so bad mate. I&#39;ve maxed out pretty much every skill you can except adrenaline which will cost me &#036;10,000,000 for the next level. So I have no money, but my thugs are growing fast and I&#39;ll soon be on the way up to something big, once I have saved up some money and some attacks. I don&#39;t know if you noticed our new crewmember, I&#39;ve been doing a lot of work on the crew and new members, so far only evilbutters but hopefully more will follow. He used to run one of our allied crews but it all fell apart, loads of thugs though.

The wars are fun though particularly in an active crew with a lot of members. You can use all the skills on people and really pound particular members (especially the leaders) into submission where they will merge with you. I would have been tempted to join in the main war in the game at the moment between the vendetta council and the iron hand / heaven and earth alliance. Doing well at the moment. Nobody bothers me now so I just accumulate money and attack whoever is on the hitlist that is in my range (one person). I discovered a nasty bug in the game the other day. After an attack look below where it says Make another attack if there is an error message below that dealing with tour attack log being full, that means the attck didn&#39;t count toward your 3 max attacks against an individual. Put simply, if you see this error message, you can attack the same person till kingdom come. I attacked a guy named Chrat something like 25 times the other day and looted well over 1.5 million dollars. The game worked as it should tofay but keep your eyes open.

just found a few very tasty people all called the same name but 1 2 3 4 etc. all with no defence and lots of cash so im raiding them like mad but im sure im going to get hit back soon when they realise.

I do know about the points for increasing attacks but i had problems with the first few things I did leaving scum ware and nasty things behind, and most of the ones i have at present im not paying for to get the points. its a bit frustrating really. My only gripe is that im being held up with not enough attacks to make my cash.

oh and jump in thugs was a thug builder i was told to use by my crew leader. not sure if i will use it much though seems a bit of a cheat really.

Concerning my crew, I&#39;d say it is ok. The only problem is the lack of communication and that they&#39;re all a little juvenile in their speech. They just won a war so that is good.
