Hello, I am new here and have not played the games much online. This is because I have a firewall. you can set your firewall to allow access to to sites of your choice. Instructions should be in the manual.

In order to play multiplayer games with a firewall, you must enable at least one port on it to allow traffic back from the Internet. Sounds like you do not have administrative rights to modify the firewall. You need that first.

Most firewalls will let you access their admin feature via http, so just open a web browser and type in the IP address in the address field of the web browser. I&#39;m not sure which port MTW uses for MP communications, but I&#39;m sure one of the moderators or someone from CA will be happy to answer that one for you.

Anyway, there will be a place to enable TCP ports. Just type MTW&#39;s specific port number and off you go.

BTW, what type of firewall is it? You are talking about a hardware firewall, right?

i have an idea dan. hire a hitman that looks alot like chow yung fat, and tell him to interragate your dad. make him tell you the admin password, and then delete the software. you may be vulnerable to hacks and viruses, but whats more important is that you can play online.

Well, the software firewall operates, in essence at least, the same as a hardware firewall. You just need to find the place in the setting that enables you to open certain ports. See if you can find the documentation for the firewall software. It should tell you exactly how to do this.

BTW, the documentation might also mention a default admin password. If your dad hasn&#39;t changed it from the default, you might be in luck. Wink, wink.

Llywelyn is right. you first need administrative rights or the administrator, your dad i assume. i dont fool around with the multiple user stuff in windows since nobody else uses my machines, but it might be possible that he can reset those things for you and still keep his own integrity on his stuff. i&#39;m not sure.

also, dont confuse a firewall with a router. some routers have firewalls built in but not all firewalls have routers built in. so, you&#39;re going to need to know what and where that firewall/proxy is. again, your dad can prolly help with that.

and, just as a side note here, TW multi games can be played through a firewall; you just cant host games, but you can join them. or perhaps i shld amend that a bit. most firewalls allow you to play. some dont.
