How many provinces?

Can anyone give me an exact total of all the provinces on the MTW campaign map? I've currently conquered 47 with the Danes, and I want to know how many more I need before I get the 60% lesser victory option.

Total Domination....it is time consuming, and as Emperor pointed out, the odds are interestingly all against you after you get so big...

Normally total domination is nigh-on impossible, but last time with Byzantines I got total domination without a single rebellion, and amazingly still making a profit of 6000 florins at the very end of the game... Was very peculiar. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

I've been playing this game for quite a while -- though I've been sidetracked now and then by other projects. I usually quit when there is a large rebellion and start over. So I can't really say that I'm an expert, though all of the early experience has to be worth something. One time I started an Egyptian game. I had some rebellions in the middle game (as they say in chess), but I stamped them out. Then I kept making Saracen spearmen in just about every province I could. I really got on a roll. Then as the Mongol Invasion was about to occur, I started training cavalry. When the Mongols appeared, I gave way to them for a little while. They had to split up their army more, while I was able to concentrate some of my armies into larger groups. Finally, there was a showdown. I won almost every battle and annihilated the Mongol army. Soon I had total domination.

Getting total domination was a real kick Don't give up Try for it sometime. When you get it, you won't want to settle for anything else. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
