Yes I believe both the files have to be editted, the one with _H at the end simply means what it looks like with higher graphics set on, the other is of less graphical quality, so both need to be editted, one must be less detailed than the other, the high detailed one toned down basically, erm, this a Lord Krazy question really because he is the master at this sort of thing.

hmm iv just spoken to a friend about my mod he reckons that i should wait till VI is out before i start it cause it might not be compatable to VI is this true what else helps modders on VI he rekons the Strat map will be editable.

Stormer, Yes VI will open up many new areas for modders look to the thread in the dungeon about changes to the startpos files in VI it explains just some of the things that will change for modders also the map changes in VI so I am curious to see myself about editing it. Also they are adding 10 customisable bif folders to add new units to the game. And as far as compatibilty,If mod file works in MTW does not mean it will work in VI this remains to be tested the assumption would be different file structure so it wont work for both. We will wait and see http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I would start anyway, you've only got a few days till the Viking Invasion, the changes in the files will not be too drastic, all the old stuff will remain so it will be a case of copying your editted data into the correct places and furthering your development by playing with the news moddable things.

Chuck a few Boers in for luck.

Knight_Yellow, the battle of Isandwala was a surpise attack by ZULU warriors, that is why the spears beat the gun. On the same day about 3000 zulus were killed when the british were ready at ralkes drift and im sure you already know this. Anyway even the best lose, because thats how they win http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
