Depends who thy're fighting and where. If it's a castle assualt then use arrows at the gate, put the speed up to 100% and watch the enemy pour to the ground in front of you http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif. In an open battle especially against archers and other ranged units then H2H is best.

oh yeah. just had a run in with 60 enemy archers, used a unit of 18 BN who ran behind the waiting unit and attacked from behind. Killed 40, lost none.

First, they got stars not arrows.

Secondly, as a missile troop they rock. But they're pretty goot at hand to hand too.

It does say in the manual that they have bows, although they look like they are throwing shruiken...

Who all know that all the OFFICIAL manuals and strategy guides are full of errors and craps ... For instance, the official strategy guide for Diablo ...

You would assume that the game companys at least know their own stuff ...

But then again, those who wrote manuals seldom write codes themselves, and those who wrote OFFICIAL strategy guides don't even play games.
