View Full Version : Creative Assembly Production Excel files needed from CA.
I want to use your units file to build the 2.0 version of the Medmod IV. I am really excited by the ideas and unit structure I have planned.

Then I scan it.

You write all your whats?
And what's wrong with C? The last programming course I took, circa 1990, was in C++. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pissed.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Done, Viking/MTW_prod_files.zip
note that the stats for some units do not match as some units are not used in the viking era and so were not kept up to date.

Tosa,
Appreciate you including another download area for those of us who can't download anything from 3D.

Wes,
To utilize the spreadsheets in MTW/Viking, do you just save them as .TXT files?
I have always used wordpad for my changes and using excel is a significant improvement.
Thanks

Yes, just select-all, copy, create a new text file, and paste. I tried it once, and it created an exact copy of the crusader text.
LK, have fun with the paper planes, and thanks for the bif files. I got them from the mirror site, though I have been so busy with other stuff that I haven't explored them yet.
Also, I noticed that the Viking Excel does not have the rebel groups made for any of the reg. campaign units.
I read in another thread that there were only a few cost changes made to the regular units for VI; can someone, preferably ECS, verify this?
Finally, can we just copy the rebel group column from the 1.1 Excel file and paste it into the Viking file? I don't know why not, but my Excel skills consist of what I have picked up here and there, so I am always cautious.
P.S., why are there a thousand blank lines at the bottom of the units text?

No you didn't.
I don't know what you got from the mirror site
but it's not the files I was talking about.
Like I said , I only uploaded them to the org
so you can get them on 3d downloads
only.

The mirror contains more than just those Excel files. I still have a few excel files I don't know what it is (a tiny readme included with the zips to guide me would be welcome). But files that get uploaded to 3D, will also make it to the mirror (space permitting). This mirror is for members only. Please post in the dungeon or e-mail me if you have problems with the mirror or need something special from 3D.
The CA excel files have also been put on the 2nd mirror to serve the not members who can't download from 3D.

WesW which mirror site are you talking about http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif
I was thinking about the lordz mirror site
as that's the one I spoke to you about.
But not where I put the bifs we spoke about
Yet the bifs I put on the org could be on
another mirror , so you could have got them from there.
Tosa,
Which files are you talking about btw?
Are you confused ? I am. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

The excel files are mtw_stats_v2.0.2003.05.08.zip/i] and [i]mtw_stats_v2.0.2003.05.11.zip. Seems the second is an update of the latter and they are some kind of stat tool for MP games. A readme would be fine.
I also notice files being uploaded to 4 or more different sections, MTW stuff in MTW folders, updated maps having the same name. This doesn't enhance fast processing.

At least to say, who made it,
what it is more or less
and how to contact them. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
I know mine are not great but at least
they have a valid email.

As a moderator I shall refrain from what I wish to say
about that. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
As for mtw_stats_v2.0.2003.05.08.zip/i] and [i]mtw_stats_v2.0.2003.05.11.zip.
I don't know what they are neither.
I never downloadded them.
Is it just an excel file with
the basic unit stats?
If so I know what it is.
I'll try dl it tomorrow.
