Even though I am a worthless ronin, I somehow wonder if and which clan plans to convert to VI.

Can we expect mods to be ported (translated ) to VI? Will competition (CWB, CWC) take place on VI 2.0 or MTW 1.1?

Or is there any clan willing to stay on MTW 1.1? And why (well RTW is not that far away)?
Or do you wait to see if feedback is good, game is balanced before going in?
Or is it free for all, and each clan let its member decide for oneself?

Clans are a big part of the life of the foyer and also have a huge impact on the way the game is played (with mods, or the wonderfull wolves logfiles reader, or academic knowldege from both Fears and Mizus, even if they seldom agree with each other)... From what I see in both foyers, all clans are not equally active on both sides.

I expect that eventually everybody will move to VI... But clans can make it happens faster... Or not at all...

The CWB will continue as MTW v1.1 for the time being.

However, the participating Clans have great latitiude to negotiate the conditions of their matches, and including VI games in their series is one of many possible game variations permitted.

It is possible we shall change over to VI completely later on, although this will depend on the reliability of VI and the extent of its use among Clan players.

All Kenchi as far as i know are getting VI.

The history of totalwar would suggest that the focus of most things will move to the latest game/expansion/patch, so i'm sure we'll see new tournies crop up for VI.

I'm sure the original MTW won't die out though.

agreed with Rath. All LRossa Clan get Viking and ready to migrate on ther VI server.

The change in Multi are pretty good with battle more closed and funny. Also we must agree to new era/max factions in the cwb.

well clan SPQR have already mostly if not fully transfered to MTWVI.

My clan will be getting VI, i agree that all clans should make the transition to expansion packs... if they didnt it would only be holding the community back.

ELITE is getting VI too, most already got it. And as far as I know RTK will switch to VI too.As I read above many other clans are switching and so I guess sooner or later VI will be the most played version of the game.

if the sheep move to VI the hungry wolves will move to, thats clear.

furthermore VI feels much better like old shog, so older vets feel more like home with VI.

The Uglies are getting it when it comes out, but since most are members of clans anyways, it doesnt matter that I tell you this since the clan leaders have already done so. hehe http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif I agree with Magyarkhan: old shoggy vets will like the VI game. It does have a closer feel for those epic battles we had back then.
