View Full Version : reinforcements
Whenever I get reinforcements they are scattered all over. How do I get the reinforcements to come in on 1 spot like the comp does.
Hello & Welcome Aboard http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
-Click reinforcements tab on top right corner of battle screen.
-Click place assembly point flag on left (IIRC) top of battle screen
-Click anywgere on terrain to place assembly point flag, all your reinforcements will now assemble at this point.
If you have VI you can pre-determin the order of deployment for your reinforcements, or so I have heard. Not tested yet, still waiting for my copy.
Hope this helps.

Can a guy set the order of deployment in VI? Can someone that has VI answer this? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I believe you can. Haven't personally tested it (haven't managed to get an army that large yet), but the manual says you can swap units between field force and reserve, and arrange the order of reserves.

Reinforcement order is essentially click and drag.
If you have seen a pre-battle screenshot it has a reinforcements button.
When you click on the reinforcements button it scrolls upward to show both front-line and reserve troops.
If you want to change the order of reinforcements switch troops between front-line and reserves. All you have to do is click on the unit and click on where you want it to be.
It does add alot of flexibility to your order-of-battle but can be time consuming if you have alot of troops.

oaty, welcome to the Org. Which game are you asking about?
quick question:
In online MP mode, can you still Pause a battle? I'd assume not, but thought I'd ask.

You can't, normally. But there's a command switch that allows the host to pause a MP game. Look in the appropriate thread for further info.
