i just got a postcard from EA and no $10 check was included. the postcard claims that in my letter i didn`t include the proof of purchase of s:tw?? this is total BS!!! i know damn well that i did include it!!

so i ask-- is the $10 rebate offer just a scam?

The proof of purchase is on a page in the STW manual, right? I'm sending mine in today. We'll see.

Yes its a scam because why don't they just put in on sale or charge less for it. They are hoping you will forget a game piece to win.
I make copies with a scanner or copy machine of all the items required for a reabate.
When I resend that with ALL the info on a page or two, copies of receipts, UPC, special form, mother's maiden name and blood oath, then they may let you get the rebate on the second go round!
Its all just a game!

If you do not live in the USA, you can't get the rebate, so for me it was a scam.

I bough the game in Thailand, for A$20? So I don't think I need much of a rebate, beside the instructions would have been in Thai, so I guess I was stuffed. The Thai rule book was cool though.
