Version 2.0 of MTW...

Probably discussed a million times, and I am stupid noob, but has anyone noticed that MTW is patched to version 2.0 when Vikings is insyalled

How many people want to bet that they inserted some patching in the game in addition to bundling V1.1 as well ?

Certainly. Most of the major changes are obvious. A minor one I really like is having the strategic agents listed by category. It makes controlling them much easier.

What I am really angry about is that they did not create a new Readme file with info on what got changed or rebalanced.

MODders are much better on this (sometimes).

I have no idea for example, on HOW to use the new Graphics settings in the Vikings control panel..

My Vid card shows 118 Meg for Video Usage, as the AGP Graphics Aperture (I think that's what it's called)

I have a new 128MB Nvidia Ti4200 8X card, but where does this 118 show up from ? where's the missing 10 Meg 9128 - 188 = 10)

You raid by destroying houses/buildings when attacking a province. As for a list of changes, yeah it would have been nice to have since it affects regular M:TW as well. Guess with how quick they wanted this out though they didn't have time.

Yep, I have noticed the patch to 2.0. It has added alot of little things that make the campaigns more enjoyable.

I do hope they release a 2.0 patch for people who do not or cannot purchase VI. It does add alot to the game and will probably be required for mp battles using the new units in 2.0.

Seriously though, I think Vikings is like the Blizzard expansion packs... They add a lot of stuff, it's an integrated suite-like upgrade to the whole MTW platform worth the 30 $....

I mean, for $ 30, how much more hours will I play this crack-derivative game

For the units, for the Vikings, for the In-game game before inidividual battles, for the patched (invisible) stuff, for the pre-battle & reinforcement screens, for the interface improvements i.e. Sorted lists, Virtues announcements..

It's worth it
