Aloha,
Just wanted to raise a tankard and extend ales to all I stummbled across VI while looking for a game that would allow me to take a break from building a PW for NWN. So I read the reviews, and have been lurking on all sites related to VI and MTW. The more I read the more I drooled - so I got 'em.

Needless to say the amount of info to take in at first is overwhelming and to me that is good. Been having a blast trying to learn the ropes and picking up tips where I can. Being a person that used to partcipate in the SCA this is a truly enjoyable experience.

So I'll be lurking and reading -- definetly more reading once the strategy guide from ebay comes in this week-end. Trying to understand how everything is related is going to make for some enjoyable reading -- I hope http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

Cheers again http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Welcome to the .Org, mate. You've made a very good choice in coming over to M:TW, although you can kiss your Real Life goodbye http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Aye -- right back at you Yeah I know about giving up a social life -- been building NWN for a long time -- the one thing that keeps me still involved are the player mods to the game -- for example someone was able to build an extension that links a third party DB to the game itself -- which means data gets written to a DB and when the server is re-set the info remains - -persistence. plus the data can get referenced via a web site A few of the people working w/ me have really taken it to the extremes -- now if I can only get them into MTW -- who knows http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Love NWN myself, but I prefer the solo play aspect. Just started creating my own solo module... it's in the very early stages of infancy though http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Not to steer this thread away from MTW -- but if you ever need any scripting help or some really kick arse mods then visit our site -- the link is in my web icon...

Now to make this a MTW post -- I ordered the strategy guide -- is the strategy guide something that I should eagerly await and what is a good d/l for unit stats -- there are so many in the d/l section of the org --there are a lot to choose from.

Doh I greeted you in another topic Bane - I didn't see this one right away. Oh well.

The strategy might be useful. I got the strat guide for STW and although it had some useful things in it, I felt there should be more. Maybe the MTW one is better. I learned more visiting the Org and a few other good sites.
