Why is it that EA, or whoever runs the server cannot just take a look around the community and see there are alot of people wanting to play this game. Why can they not realise that the future of gaming is online so the sooner they have better servers, better support the busier the online community will be. And to be part of the online community - you have to buy the game. The more games people buy - the more money they get.
I'm sure someone will tell me I'm talking out of my rear end but it seems like a case of bad business to me. Yes I know it costs to run the servers etc but as I said online gaming is the future.

Thats my little rant over

No doubt EA should be doing a better job with the servers. And of course there is a future for online gaming. But I would not go so far as to say that online gaming is THE future, implying that solo play is winding down. It isn't. Only a small fraction of buyers ever play online.

For guys who play online exclusively it may seem like there is nothing else. But realistically, the technology is still a pain to deal with for too many people. Bandwidth issues, drops, lag, etc. Not to mention anonymous jerks who frequently plague any game you try to play by cheating or being rude and distasteful. Fans live with and except these problems as a regretable fact of life online because they enjoy it so much when it's working well (because THEN it IS great). But the hassles are still too commonplace to appeal to a massive market. Solo play will be alive and well for a long, long time.

I see your point and I indeed play Solo (champ Mananger) but you have made my point better than I did, the fact that it is a hassle with drops, cheats etc makes people less inclined to play online. So therefore people like EA should sort it out. Thanks Nelson.
