View Full Version : Creative Assembly has anyone figured out the weather table yet
the weather table is here
(drive):\Games\Medieval_vi\Battle\weather.txt
i am curious why lush gets 2 sets of entries,
and i think experimentation will be required to determine what all the numbers mean...
(and WHAT happens if this table is changed and you try to play online?)

It's a debug file created each time you play a battle (if it's writable).
drat,
i was hoping the chance of weather might be "mod-able",

it is moddable...well, at least Rob, of good ole stw days, modded it. you just cant use it online. well, hell, maybe you can, if everyone has the same mod. it's been a while since i helped Rob test this stuff.

Hi,
Weather & seasons in MTW passels me.
The STW have a period of 1 season but in MTW the period is 1 year. Further more I get to fight in constant summer. Most of my battles where in clear weather or with a bit of rain … I think only once I had fought in a blizzard, the seasons were only summer. I have never seen winter or autumn?????
Is it possible to set the time period of a turn in to a season????
yes,
i dearly miss fighting in fogbound conditions,
- they were some of the BEST online battles,
where you could manouver secretly even on open terrain,
Shogun is still trumps when it come to weather conditions, nothing like a horde of warrior monks appearing inches in front of your face....
Hm yes I tried changing some values with no apparent effect...but if its only a debug file as Gil says...
But fog in battles....yum
CBR
Ayuh, i would love to know how to get more fog/snow battles in MTW/VI. Anyone any ideas?
Those heavy fog battles in STW were awesome, not being able to see greater than a few feet in front of you and being surprised by a horde of savage Warrior Monks
Anyone any further help on this "ability" to mod weather?
