I am currently playing the Sicilans and have conqured many of the key-trading provinces (Venice, Constantinople, Tripoli and so on).
My question is very simple: what is the higest amount of florins you have managed to get a province to produce?
My personal record is 11 892 a year in Tripoli.

Im quite certain Ive had 1,100 plus in Castile, Constantinopl, Aragon, Valencia
I suspect I'm small cos many people trade and my trade is not so good...

Since i prefer to play with small nations trading is usually the key to victory. Once you have a solid economy its time to hire mercenarys.
I've probably had the most in Castile, but I don't trade very much - so my income is lower in a lot of provences

My three richest provinces in my byzantine campaigns almost always turn out to be Egypt, Constantinople and Antioch in that order.

Richest province I had was Flanders... I had over 2,700 florins from it on High Tax, Full trade and Farmland (Good for the late period)

Flanders, antiouch, constatinopel and venice are the richest.
castile, sicily, sweden and egypt are also very nice.
The most I ever had was 4500 a year with antiouch as the byzantines.

Highest for me has been Constantinople with a map-spanning trade network. IIRC it was twelve thousand something.
Of course then all the AIs declared war on me and my enormous army bled me dry. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif

than you should try this:
As soon as you have a big trading empire put taxes on normale and spend only half of your income to support your army and concentrade on the development of farmland and mines.
Even when all trade is blockt you still will have enough money to support your army and not go into the red by cranking up taxes.
it also stops you from having a huge everything beeting army, so you'll think twice before going to war http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
