Today is a great day! I Just beat the computer on expert in a custom battle when they had 6,000 Koku more then me. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

The computer was given random units and 14,000 Koku, I picked my own units and had 8,000 Koku.

Ahh the sweet taste of victory!!!!!!

Allrighty then:

The location was the "4th Wawankajima" I was the attacker with 8,000 Koku, the computer with random units and 14,000 koku was the defender.

I had:

3 Yari Samurai H2 W3 A1
2 Warrior Monks H2 W3 A1
2 Naginata Cavalry H2 W3 A1
3 Samurai Archers H2 W3 A0
1 Musket H2 W3 A0
3 NoDachi H2 W0 A0
1 Arquabus H2 W0 A0

ANd my command unit was: Yari samurai with no upgrades.

As I said before my enemy had random units.

What happened was when I started I waited for the enmey to come to my I moved my 3 units of unupgraded NoDachi to my right flank. There cavalry was moving swiftly to set up to attack my right flank. I reacted to this by moving 2 of my 3 upgraded Yari samurai units to my right flank. And my cav to the center.

SO on the side of my lands to the back facing the cavalry were 2 units of YS with full weapons and Armor 1. next to them was one unit of Nagi cavalry and 3 units of nodachi.

I attacked there cavalry with my Yari Samurai, pulling in the one unit of Yari samurai I hadn't before. I managed to surround there Cavalry and whipe them out.

Then my center right was attacked by what were probably very suoped up Yari Samurai and Yari Ashiguro. I pulled my cav back and countered with my unupgraded No Dachi. At the same time they were moving up there ranged attack units and some No Dachi and other stuff. There beefed up No Dachi Hit my monks. and my Archers. I thought it was curtains for me.

I through all my cavalry at the center of there breakthrough: There command unit(No Dachi) Wedged between warrior monks and 2 units of Naginata cavalry they were eliminated. Though I did face some serious counter attacks by naginata and Ashigaru backed up by muskets once I eliminated there command unit, what remained of there left flank(mostly muskets) turned tail and ran. Without that support they were alot less potent.

Meanwhile my unupgraded No Dachi had gotten chewed up pretty bad So I through in what was left of my monks to support them.

In the end I lost about 620 men and they lost 655 or so men.

I do not think he played defensive!!!

I think when the CPU feel supiriour then it attacks, even if it is the defender !!!

So there are nothing 2 do about it, than counter its move.. as steppe_pony did when he send his yari after the cav. and the nd after the other crap http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
