Hey you can play online with just a dialup!!

I've been waiting too long!

I had tried Freespace 2 and F-15 online and just got sick of being killed just due to the speed of the cable killers. So I didn't even bother to try Shogun.

But I may have a chance because a little lag is not a killer for Shogun Total War. Well brain lag maybe.....The difference with STW and other games is you have to THINK before you shoot!

But thanks for the games guys. Don't think I'll bother with a campaign for a bit now....
I have even hosted battles with no problem!

In fact, I play online with a latency about 800-900 without any problem. Well almost.
The only problem is when I hosting, ppl won't join because they think the lag will be a problem, but it's not!

Ah isnt it a pleasure not to be fragged or sniped by someone thats probably got a near perfect connection?

I tried Half Life, (CounterStrike, TFC and FireArms) but the reason I keep coming back to TotalWar? If I lose its cause I am not as good as my opponent, not because I never even saw him coming!

Yes the only other games I have played where the latency for all players was made the same were SId MEier's Gettysburg!, Red Alert, Star Craft & Shogun. The games may be slow but everyone's game is slow which makes it fair. I kinda enjoy lag a bit, I lag in ability so it kinda evens out! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif Elmarko

This is great news. I can't wait to play Shogun with my friend. I thought you could only play through EA.
