Hi all,

I was playing last night, when I noticed something a little odd I thought. Forgive me is this has been mentioned before, I couldn't find a ref.

Normally, you would need a watchtower to see into other lands.

Playing as vikings, if you own a single watchtower you can see into all of the coastal provinces with a ship adjacent. As soon as the watchtower is destroyed/lost/sold off, or there's a break in the chain of ships, you lose the ability to see into the coastal provinces. I've not tried the other factions - and maybe this happens all the time anyway, and I've only just discovered it?

Cheers,
Sockeye

I is the same in MTW as well. As long as the faction you are spying on has no ships in the same waters you can spy on them.

having control of the seas is great - it allows you access to most provinces, and allows you to spy on your enemies. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
