I noticed last night that when I created teppo in Aki the unit received a dojo honor bonus along with the legendary armor, improved morale, improved discipline and superior weapons that I expected. I guess it was the famous spear dojo that did it although the horse and archery dojos were famous too. I don't recall teppo getting any extra honor except the ashigaru bonus in Owari and Tosa. Is this new in MI? I'll have to experiment with the campaign to see which dojo is responsible.

I never noticed that one.I did notice that the Takeda stronghold of Kai (1550) has a famous armory even though there are no iron sands deposits in the province.You are also unable to upgrade to legendary armory,not that he needs it,especially early in the game.Must be a little AI advantage.

Baka, I did have a palace and it did add +1 to morale. What puzzles me is the +1 honor the teppo got. Only type specific famous or legendary dojos could increase honor or so I thought.

And Hosakawa, the Kai armory rinkle is news to me. I never thought about it.

Palaces also add +1 to honour.

As far as I've always known, the palaces add +1 to honour to all units produced in the region. If they don't, I don't think there's much point, unless you really want to build Kensai...

It's the gun factory. If I burn it the teppo no longer get an honor bonus. I never knew the gun factory did that. I haven't built them very often.

Palaces add to morale, not honor.

However, if you accept portugese treaty and build CATHEDRAL, the gun factory seems to lose its bonus.

I have a cathedral in Aki along with the factory and teppo get the honor bonus. I found the gun factory honor bonus listed on the tech tree map. It only mentions musketeers but arquebusiers get it too. It's small print easily overlooked by those of us having reached our bifocal years. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif
