http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif HelloooOOOOO Lancer6969. Welcome to the Org. Speak friend and enter. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif I think that's been done before.
To your question, a stroll through the Dungeon forum might answer your question. I believe a few mods were in the process of converting. WesW's Med Mod and the in-progress Napoleonic Mod are two I've heard mention. I don't know if they are completed though.

It is one of the forums along with the Entrance Hall, Main Hall, etc. You can't post there but you can read the posts. That should tell you which mods have been converted to VI.
Here is direct link to The Dungeon (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=SF;f=5) forum.

New units and new factions are easy enough, but changing your general's name can be tricky, unless you dont mind his name being randomly generated from a list.
I have a new mod (see my postings in the Dungeon) it is for the X-pack main campaign (not the Vikings campaign). It adds 10 new factions, 3 new Agents, more buildings, units, etc.

When we download it will it automatically install on MTW or do we have to mod it with the stuff we get from the download? I've downloaded it before and I went through the latter.
It depends on what you use to unzip it. I use WinRAR which keeps the folders intact so its just a matter of copying the main Medieval - Total War folder in my zip into your one (and selecting over-wtite all. BitZipper is another decent program which doesnt remove all the folder structures.
Actually people seem to be having trouble with this WinZip problem so I have made a self extracting .EXE version but Homestead wont let me upload .EXE files, (nor will the totalwar.org - I think http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif ) I can email this to people if they like.

Lancer6969: Take some time to enjoy the original Xpack. It is still fresh, and surely adds enough good stuff to keep you happy for a while...

Actually in VI you can not only choose a name for your General or any other office i.e. Spy,Emissary, etc. but you can also match him to a portrait by using the HEROES DEFAULT FILE in Campamp/Names I am in the process of adding Generals to the Napoleonic Mod for VI we have added Napoleon , Duke Of Wellington and many others with Name, Correct portrait and stats of our choosing. With this file you are able to work around the Randomly generated names in the Loc/Eng/Nmaes files. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
