And I'm not talking about newbies. It's these "seasoned" veterans, well known names (I wouldn't mention names).. gah.. talking about honour and such.. don't gimme no shit, your coward actions speak louder than words.

You know who you are.. shit with ya honour pts. Acting like you are in a class of your own.. knn I've kicked ya ass like babies.

It's not that I care about the honor pts.. I am just damned curious why people would cheat and act such dishonourable because of such thing. If you do care about the pts.. earn it with honour

I dare to claim I'm am truly 100% honourable in all my battles, be it winning or losing.. who else dare to claim as such!? List ya names!

Very true, tootee.

But we must not generalise and say that people with high honour are cheaters.

Grizzled, battle-hardenned veterans almost always have scars on their face from repetitive lugey showers from flamers as well as the occasional crusting effect from extra-viscous lugeys that just dry up and won't go away.

So, give 'em a break and a chance to explain themselves. If they were blinded by an old lugey, or even if their ISP dropped them after 2 hours online (some ISPs do that arbitrarily at 2 hours ya know), there may be a valid reason for the dishonorable exit. Should they fail to show up to console your fears, then sure, whale away at the pigs and never, ever play them again.

[Thank god I lost my head so long ago... no crusty lugeys on me! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif ]

Having a high number of Honor points in the rankings does not equate to having high honor as Tootee is finding out.

Some of the most honorable members of the online community do not even play competitive matches anymore.

There are however, still those with a large number of Honor points who do play comptetitive matches. Only time and experience will allow a person to gain the knowledge of who is truly honorable, and who only has Honor points. The only shortcut to this process would be to listen to the names spoken by the online "elders" and hear whom they believe to be truly honorable.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

"Mom cleaning the room"? I thought we were all old enough to at least clean up after ourselves? I mean, if you can handle the Mongols, you can handle the vacuum.

Tootee, it does seem that there are more esc'rs out there now, but there were many in the old stw at one time too. It comes and goes in cycles. The best thing to do is play friendlies and avoid such nonsense as escapers. I can vouch for LordTed though, he is a very good player and I have never known him to escape or otherwise play unfair maps. Most of those that have replied here are honorable and you would have fun playing them. Wish you luck and don't let the bad ones get you down. UglyElmo

Thank guys for the advice. Indeed I trust Lordted to be honourable (I have yet played him).. don't think escaper can even reach 160+ pt.

Well, I was hosting a friendly and was asked to make it a comp (people who know me well know that I seldom play comp).. so a comp instead. And I lost, fair and square. Next I played comp host by the other guy. I won, fair and square.. but he escaped. Gah!

BTW just to be sure. The battle is closed. I saw the final "winning announcement". I even exit normally to the number-of-kill screen. I return back to foyer. I check the net, and the game is not registered.. it's still "in play".. Gah, don't tell me it's the network, it's too coincidental.

is a name change too. in STW

if he is honourable and this game dont count
he will give u another match and lose on purpose. ....he just need to offer it...

my Khan is collecting these people, especially a big green bar with a dropping counter on a screenpic is good prove. if it happen once it doesnt say anything, even twice but if it happen several times, only when ur winning, they hardlty say sorry after the game and wouldnt give you a fair rematch.... than it starts to be most likely that .....

also a battlesearch helps gathering information about a player.

I do believe that the matter of dropping is very difficult to sort out satisfactorily (unless if anyone hits escape their pc gets a virus and no longer works)It seems utterly proposterous for people to escape as it ruins the whole beauty of the game and exhileration of winning, but at the same time there is a great exhileration in losing too and wanting to master better ways of combat to therefore throw your victors the gauntlet of a challenge yet again.
Why not just play the game eh? well, maybe an "escaper" would like to enter the forum and explain why they do it.
